Opponent is friend

Indonesia and every part of the world are experiencing severe shocks from the Coronavirus. It was unexpected and unpredictable and the situation worsened each day and affected every one. This is a test from our Creator that we have to survive. We have to fight and make our opponents into our friends. This work was inspired by the story of Santa Olga, a queen who had to be ready and willing to lead the war troops when her husband, King Igor died. She fought her best and conquered the enemy. What’s interesting here is that she did not treat the prisoners as slaves nor torch the opponent's village. Instead, she brought peace and enforced the Law of Charity on anyone, even the prisoners. The opponent in our situation is the virus, and instead of despising it, we should embrace and win over the virus together. We need to remember that the ‘opponent’ is our friend, and make this a motivation for us to care more about the people around us, our environment as well as community and of course our health. This work is a reminder for us to communicate with our Creator, give thanks and be grateful for what we have.
