Tempa

Tempa is Yogyakarta-based visual artists Putud Utama and Rara Kuastra, forming in 2015 when they decided to collaborate on art and design. Using the medium of canvas, fabric, wood and clay they create vivid-coloured installations, paintings, and murals to investigate themes of identity, the balance between humans and nature, also folklore and the tropical landscape. Their work has been commissioned for major public art installations across Java and at numerous private and commercial premises in Jakarta.
