Last week we had the delight of hosting Cambodian artists Yim Maline and Mao Savonchandy, along with curators Chum Chanveasna and Moeng Meta, as they prepared for our major exhibition All That Surrounds Us: New Art from Cambodia. The exhibition opened on Saturday, drawing a wonderful crowd, and our talks program on Sunday offered valuable insights into the world of Cambodian art.
The show was opened by Sa Sa Art Projects artistic director, Vuth Lyno, appearing on video, followed by a perceptive talk by Charlotte Craw on reading Cambodian art. On Sunday, our symposium featured talks and a panel discussion which delved into the creative processes and concerns of Cambodian artists. We extend our gratitude to all who participated and attended the event. We are proud to collaborate with our exhibition partner, Sa Sa Art Projects, an artist-driven organisation based in Phnom Penh, at the forefront of Cambodia's contemporary art scene.
